I used to have a G-27 and an Obutto Ozone cockpit. It was fun but took up a lot of space and kids meant it went bye.
I have been eyeing a new Fanatec podium setup and a cockpit to go with it (and a valve index...)
What do you have and what do you dislike/like about it?

I have a logitech G29 and made this to go with it:
It’s in the living room for the moment until I replace the TV that I gave away and put it in the rarely used office.

Umm... to be honest I found it pretty nauseating , though maybe I need to try some different games. I do like European Truck Simulator 2 in VR, which Steam helpfully classifies as racing.

I have a Logitech g920 wheel and pedals for my Xbox one mounted to a gt-omega stand with seat mount. The seat is a cheap NRG from 320 that I had lying around as it sat me too high in my rx-8. I have it mounted directly in front of an old Samsung 50" plasma with some burn-in. Eventually I’ll upgrade to a better tv, but it does an ok job.

I have a Thrustmaster T150 that I use at my desk. No H-pattern, just the paddles. If I’m feeling particular, I’ll bring in a dining chair so I don’t roll backward from the pedals. I could spend more someday, if I actually get good. Right now I find doing incident-free practice laps in iRacing very demanding and satisfying.
ETA - what I like is that it all stows out of the way pretty quickly . This is my work space, and where I play other games. I could see adding a racing chair and monitors but not a cockpit in the available space.
It’s also inexpensive and I don’t mind letting the kids play on it some.

Currently rocking the G27 strapped to the desk with an Acer Predator X34 ultrawide for endurance races and a Samsung Odyssey + for sprint racing. I’ve had the G27 for 9.5 years now and it’s really showing its age so I have a Fanatec Clubsport V2.5 wheelbase and V3 pedals on the way. Wheelbase should be here Monday and the pedals are on back order until mid may. I’m really exited to get the new gear as telemetry is starting to show that the gear is beginning to hold me back, particularly with regards to braking and the rough force feedback in the G27. It’s so hard to be consistent on the G27 pedals and my brake traces get all kinds of wonky when I am really pushing it and trying to make very small brake force adjustments.
Next summer once I’m back in the office and I can get the lab out of my apartment I am going to build myself a chassis to permanently mount it all in.

Ive been all Fanatec for many years now. Just recently replaced my very old GT2 wheel with a CSL Elite (need PlayStation compatibility). Still using the original Clubsport pedals and no longer for sale wheel stand.
Shits been extremely durable and long lived. I can’t recommend the BMW wheel rim though. The buttons were flakey on my first one so it’s not as high quality as I’m used to from them.
